Wastewater Treatment Plant Composter Process Improvements for Odor Control
|
JHI prepared construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and an operations
and maintenance manual for process improvements to control odors from a wastewater
treatment plant composting operation. The improvements consisted of structures to
contain odorous air and piping and blowers to collect odorous air from various sources,
and odor treatment using a packed tower scrubber and biofilter. JHI’s design work
included:
- Process and piping design for odorous air collection
- Facility design
- Grading and paving
- Metal building system specifications
- Building foundations
- Equipment and process piping installation
- Ventilation system
- Building and process electrical service
- Instrumentation specification and tie-in to existing control system
