Water Treatment Facility under construction in 2002
|
On an extremely compressed schedule, JHI provided design, cost estimation, permitting,
procurement, construction management, and commissioning and startup assistance for
a water treatment plant to support a new power generation facility. This $10 million
dollar turn-key project required JHI to utilize all engineering disciplines and
to maintain excellent communication with the client in order to complete the project
within the limited time frame. Strong project and construction management provided
by JHI enabled this job to be so successful. JHI’s work included:
- Facility design
- Metal building system specification
- Pile-supported two-way slab design
- 4,800 feet of underground piping
- Tank, pump, and equipment specification and procurement
- Process piping design
- HVAC design
- Fire protection system specification
- New electric service, substation, switchboard, and Electrical Room
- Instrument loop diagrams
